Ten years strong, Elby Brass is celebrating with the best block party of the summer! We're pumped to have Sammy T's host the festivities, a fitting partnership as they were also they host of our first full show back in 2009. Fredericksburg's original roots reggae band, The Transmitters, will also make an appearance. It's all taking place in the outdoor beer garden Sammy's is setting up in the middle of Hanover Street. The Fredericksburg Area Museum is proud to be hosting their first annual outdoor holiday market featuring craft vendors and traditional German-style treats for all ages. Celebrate the seventh year of Art Attack Fredericksburg with an evening block party concert hosted by Sammy T's Restaurant. Fredericksburg's homegrown street brass band, Elby Brass, will headline an outdoor show on Hanover Street, supported by fellow local Americana musicians Cabin Creek. The Otter House was going to close unceremoniously, but that isn't how we do things, so we're going to give them a much more ceremonious closing. We're teaming up with a bunch of other local musicians to give a proper send off to the best place for live music in Fredericksburg.

Tom Tom Founders Festival is a celebration of music, art, and innovation in Charlottesville. All month long, Tom Tom events have been happening around town, this is the big finale. For the past ten years, Keller Williams has performed an after-Christmas show to benefit the Fredericksburg Regional SPCA. To help celebrate the anniversary, this year he's invited ELBY to throw down out in the crowd during the set breaks. Each of the three sets will feature a different side of Keller's music: reggae dubstep with Jay Starling and Mark D, jammy bluegrass with Keller and The Keels, and his classic solo acoustic loop grooves. Dance it up with our hometown hero and support a good cause, all profits will be donated to the SPCA.

Celebrate the craft beers of central Virginia with a day of awesome music. Devil's Backbone Brewing Company has teamed up with Starr Hill, Blue Mountain Brewery, and South Street Brewery to bring an all-star lineup of bands and brews to their outdoor concert grounds. We'll be doing a "tweener" set right before the headliner goes on, so make sure you're in the crowd when we hit it.

We're packing up and heading to Richmond for our first full out-of-town show at The Triple, an awesome billiards club and music venue. We're also teaming up with a great local rock'n'roll band, Palominos.

We're back at University Cafe for another show down. This time we brought two new friends along for the ride. ELLIOT CURRIE is a fabulous local guitarist and singer, he's got a solo set planned for the first part of the night. We've also got 12-SIDED PEOPLE in their debut performance. This is a second line funk brass ensemble featuring members of ELBY BRASS plus local musicians Mike Ashenfelder, Marc Weigel, and Slam Stewart. It's a full lineup you won't want to miss.

What happens when you team up two of the biggest, freakiest bands in Fredericksburg? We're not sure either but you should really check it out because it will be fantastic.
